Understanding of national labour markets as well as relevant policy and regulatory frameworks is key to the success of the URGENT project and sustainability of its results. To ensure this, the project team has started their analysis already on the project preparatory stage. The first results have been used in order to identify six URGENT cross-cutting themes around which all the project capacity building activities have been further structured. Immediately upon the start of the project, the surveying and analytical activities have been resumed within the project Work Package one, and resulted in series of reports analysing national labour markets and regulatory networks in India and Mongolia. The reports have been used to complile the terms of references for key URGENT outputs, in particular for the curriculua to develop and upgrade, the URGENT research framework as well as Indian and Mongolian national Stakeholder Interaction Platforms.
